Axel Grease

The longest tenured Boston Bruin P.J. Axelsson (AK shil suhn), may not be known for his for his goal scoring, or fancy play. but this gritty player has managed to stick around on Boston Since 1997. I originally picked this name because I just thought it was cool then while doing some research I stumbled upon what his real name is. The Wikipedia entry for Axelsson claims that his full name is Anders Per-Johan Axelsson..... ummmmm.... No wonder he goes by P.J. In researching his name it appears to me that his parents may have been fairly religious. Anders is a scandinavian form of Andrew (One of the Disciples of Jesus) Per is Scandinavian for Rock and Johan means "God Is Gracious"

Despite the interesting name you have gotta give credit to a guy drafted in the 7th round sticking around and actually having an impact on the game for 11 years.
